Dental Implants Made Simple by Dr. Fuller and His Team
A dental implant is an artificially placed root that holds a similarly artificial tooth, or crown, in place. The ANKYLOS dental implant system that Dr. Fuller uses is the result of a sixteen year clinical trial study in Germany. The beauty of this dental system is such that, if the bone matrix where the implant is to be placed is good, then the ANKYLOS system can be loaded immediately alongside its crown.
With the previous implant systems available in the U.S., these older implant options were more expensive when compared to the ANKYLOS. These older systems were also often required to remain in the bone for several months prior to tooth attachment.
An added benefit with the newer implant systems is that insurance companies began to realize the predictability of dental implants and have begun to cover implant costs: they were easier to clean than fixed bridges and were more cost effective in the long term. After practicing dentistry for thirty five years, thirty of which were dedicated to being a root canal specialist, Dr. Fuller can confidently say that the ANKYLOS system is the most optimal method to replace a missing tooth.
Twenty Five Years Ago
Twenty five years ago, Dr. Fuller was a pioneer in the ceramic implant systems. He, however, realized that they were too brittle for use in the mouth and would snap or break during normal everyday use. The ANKYLOS system uses titanium, which is extremely durable and long lasting, thereby allowing for a more natural bite pressure when it comes to chewing.
The implant system is, as mentioned previously, much easier to clean as compared to a fixed bridge and also comes with the benefit of not being susceptible to decay unlike tooth bridges. Dr. Fuller and his team of experts are more than happy to consult with you to see if the ANKYLOS system is best for your tooth replacement.
Dental implants take about 45 minutes and involve a painless local anesthetic
The procedure itself would involve a (painless) local anesthetic shot prior to the surgery which would take around thirty to forty minutes at most. In most instances, an aesthetically pleasing temporary tooth would be placed immediately afterwards so you would leave the office without a missing tooth.
The resulting laser incisions from the procedure have minimal bleeding and heal very quickly. You, our patient, will be pleasantly surprised to find out that our fee for this service would usually range from $1,900.00 to $2,100.00 depending on the complexity of your particular case. With most implant systems available elsewhere, months of healing are often required with a substantially higher cost as well.
